We are currently seeking a Part-Time Event Designer to plan weddings and other events at our Doylestown Venues Fonthill Castle and Mercer Museum.
This position can primarily be performed from home, with some visits to our venues to meet with clients.

As a JAM Catering Event Designer, it's about making sure every possible detail of a JAM wedding is planned to perfection.

Duties and responsibilities Act as main point of contact for each client once introduced by the Venue Manager.
Schedule and conduct menu planning appointments either in person, or via phone conference.
Assist in scheduling a tasting appointment for each client who requests a tasting.
Input menu details into internal menu development software.
Schedule and conduct a details planning appointment either in person or phone conference.
Schedule and conduct a walk-through at the venue with each client prior to event.
Complete various Event Planning forms on time that will be utilized by various departments in production.
Execute and oversee day-of event coordination and act as main point of contact for client.
Additional shifts and administrative hours may be given depending on the number of events that are assigned per season.
Examples include:
Assistant Event Coordinator, Bartender, Venue tours, administrative tasks given by Assoc.
Director of Planning/Director of Planning.
Qualifications Education - Minimum high school diploma Experience in a similar sales or service position preferred.
Proficient skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively coordinate and manage all size events.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
A warm yet professional demeanor.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced work environment where changing priorities and focus will occur on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Ability to work independently (self-sufficient) while maintaining a team atmosphere.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Share JAM values of inclusion and diversity.
Working conditions This position is performed both in a climate controlled indoor office environment, and outdoor as needed at venue events or when traveling.
Occasional day travel may be necessary to venue sites.
Must be available on weekends for events and occasional weeknights for client meetings/rehearsals.
All other hours are flexible working hours, based on the needs of our business, and generally provided.
Physical requirements This position requires the ability to drive, stand, sit, and walk, sometimes for long periods of time.
Seeing, touching, and the use of fingers and hands.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
Ability to drive to venues or vendor sites, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
