Summary:
The primary function of this job is to perform casework and/or support processing duties as may be assigned.
Duties include contact with the public.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:
Ability to learn and perform complex support case processing tasks and related clerical tasks within the framework of established office procedures.
Ability to work independently on difficult or complex clerical tasks without constant direct supervision.
Ability to plan and organize assigned work duties and priorities within established parameters.
May be assigned to perform various financial, auditing, adjusting and reviewing of lists, reports and cases, as well as prepare orders in accordance with Bucks County Domestic Relations operational policies and procedures.
Work effectively with other public and private agencies and institutions.
Organize and schedule cases for conferences and/or court, including case maintenance.
May be assigned to various professional staff, a specific work/caseload/project or to certain types of support case processing activities working individually or as part of a team.
Communicate with other states on interstate child support orders, monitor assigned caseload and perform required duties in accordance with Bucks County Domestic Relations policies/procedures, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
Perform intake-related client interviews and preparations of appropriate support petitions, Parent Locate requests, letters and other related duties as needed.
Research case information and follow up within established office procedural time frame.
Perform Parent Locate research activities and related duties for the purpose of establishing child support orders, spousal support orders, paternity or enforcement of an existing support order.
Responds to inquiries from the public, clients, attorneys, other courts, agencies or offices.
Contact may be performed in person, at an office or by telephone or written communication.
Follows State, County and Department security requirements, policies and procedures; understands and adheres to security plans, emergency procedures, and confidentiality policies; helps to provide a safe and secure environment for self, co-workers, and clients; takes measures to secure data and client information; keeps updated on all safeguards and security programs.
Ability to work in a high volume, often stressful office environment.
Ability to exercise good judgement, courtesy and tact when in contact with the public and clients who may be under a high degree of stress.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Will be assigned as a trainer as needed.
Learn and use Pennsylvania Automated Child Support Enforcement System (PACSES) and all related applications, including the County computer system.
Ability to maintain statistics.
Ability to understand the Federal Performance Measures.
Ability to work off-site, if required.
Other duties may be assigned.
