Qualifications:
Minimum 4 Years of experience working in a dental front office.
At least 2 years of billing and collections with insurance (PPO) based practices, which includes insurance breakdowns, claim submission, co-payment calculation, and comfortable collection balances due before treatment.
Self-starter and able to work independently without needed oversight.
Strong multi-tasker Strong schedule management skills Strong understanding of treatment planning Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to remain professional.
Must be the most thorough and precise with great follow-through.
Must be confident and influential.
Strong computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Outlook Proficient use of electronic practice management software (Open Dental a plus)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for working with payers or patients to ensure timely collection of any due or outstanding balances.
Must be able to effectively identify any issues and provide proper resolution and appropriate next steps, such as disputes and appeals for any unexpected billing adjustments.
Responsible for verification of eligibility, allowances, and remaining benefits of patient insurance using practice tools.
Responsible for checking in, discussing treatment plan, plan options, financial breakdown, and checking out patients during every visit.
Responsible for the management of practice schedule, for new and existing patients, as guided by doctor, to ensure maximizing time utilization and production.
Will be expected to deal with cancellations and schedule changes in a proactive manner to ensure any openings are reasonably filled.
Responsible for daily submission of dental claims by working closely with doctor to ensure all coding, support, and documentation is available and accurate to ensure a successful submission.
Ensures timely responses, whether by email or phone, of all clinical and operations concerns, from patients, insurances companies, dental labs, etc.
Perform general office duties, such as stocking coffee, water, and maintaining front area and waiting room neat and tidy.
On top of the above responsibilities, may need to perform additional ad-hoc tasks as identified by business needs.
